What's the best invention since the Web started?
Vol. III, Issue 21
May 27, 2008
A smart and savvy tip from Patsi and Denise:
The other day in an interview, I heard myself say this:
"Business Blogs are one of the greatest marketing and relationship building tools invented since the Web came into existence."
Wow, I thought after I said it, that was a big, strong statement! Maybe listeners will think I'm just blowing hot air and hype!
Yes, we're working with blogs and we're The Blog Squad. But I don't think it's an exaggeration.
We'll admit to being gung-ho, but we're also a couple of realistic and very pragmatic professionals who won't waste our time with tools that difficult or complicated.
And we know plenty of other professionals who now rely on their business blog as a key marketing tool. Not their sole or only one, but a primary marketing tool.
That's why we encourage you to learn how to use your blog to the best advantage. You'll need to learn four areas about business blogging to create a successful blog that markets your business. They are:
1. Content: Write relevant and useful posts for your readers. (Know who they are, your blog's purpose, and define your niche.) You want to educate, entertain, engage and enrich your readers.
2. Outreach: Reach out to other bloggers in your field and become an active member of your online community.
3. Action: Persuade readers to take action.
4. Design: Keep readers coming back by offering a subscription form and an easy to use design.
Yes, I'll stand by that statement: blogs are the greatest marketing and relationship building tool invented since the Web came into existence!
AND we could all learn to master them better. The learning journey continues and will never stop...
We go into all four key elements in our free report on Better Business Blogging:

Everyone you meet these days is overworked and out of time. In our tech-enhanced world, we have more timesaving helpers and systems than ever before.
So, why isn't there enough time to juggle our work, home and health responsibilities? We have an enhanced quality of life, but we're also adding to our stress levels by taking on more tasks than we have resources to handle.
There's a tremendous need for new methods, systems and, above all, habits to keep us on track.
